This project was inspired by my boyfriends step brother, Cody, who died in a car crash 5 years ago. Its baste on the song, "what hurts the most", by Rascle Flats, because the song is baste on losing someone loved in a car crash. The song contains the lyrics "and what hurts the most, is being so close, and having so much to say, and watching you walk away". The few years before his death he had became a best friend to my boyfriend, and when he died my boyfriend lost more than just a step brother. Cody also had gotten his girlfriend pregnant right before his death. The girl in the bottom left of the window frame is his now five year old daughter, Nadia. As far as the project goes, I had made the window frame as well as cut the glass to fit the panels. Each drawing is a charcoal drawing of Cody and Nadia. The quote is Cody's mothers favorite. The project was given as a christmas gift to Cody's mother, she loves it and so do I.
